The footage to gather

  1. The need in context
  2. The work being done
  3. The specific next action for supporters

Give each moment a little breathing room. Get close enough to show the detail, and keep the original clips handy.

Plan a short spoken script

Opening

Write the viewer’s real question as the opening line.

Middle

Pair each spoken point with evidence from an available shot; delete claims the footage cannot support.

Ending

Close with one relevant action instead of a list of requests.

Review it for nonprofits

Do not use an illustrative story as a claim about measured impact.

Ask yourself: Does the script sound natural when read aloud over the clips?

Watch it as if you were seeing it for the first time. If something is unclear, try a different cut or add the missing shot.
